Personality and Design

After analysis on the topic “How are personality types and design related?”  I have found that they go hand-in-hand. The designers personality type shows what type of furniture they’ll choose, the quantity in which they choose the pieces, what colors they may choose for the space and the overall layout of the room. Choosing between an individual seating area where occupants have their own chair and space for privacy. In other cases, seating areas that promote communication and interaction between the occupants. The amount of objects placed in the room and how easily paths of escape can be spotted also define the designers personality. Lastly, the overall design of the room has to be the biggest point. The color in the room reflects the designers personality traits and their own emotions and feelings take into place. As well as, a room that has many sections of privacy and walls that disconnect areas can be seen as an introverted trait. In conclusion, a designers personality is closely related to the type of work they’ll put out and work on. Most of these projects can be seen and analyzed by an individual and can distinguish what personality a designer may be; leading them into choosing one designer over another.

Inspirational BLog

Our design firm has been hired by Ethan and Callie Sullivan to design their newly constructed home. Their home is located within an up and coming area near Asheville, North Carolina. Our firm is looking to create a spacious and friendly environment for the couple and their children to grow up in and feel as if this is their own home. We are working to follow the couples interest and what styles they would like the home to characterize. Ethan and Callie Sullivan are looking for a Organic Modern home with hints of Boho and it’s pattern to allow the home to be aesthetically pleasing.

Trends Coming Back in Style

The 80s is a trend that is up and coming back once again in the design industry. The trend can be seen with the use of brass as well as pastels in homes. To think about it, it’s a classic Miami type approach however, it has more of a sleek modern approach rather than what it use to be. Also the use of pop art in homes to have bright and bold colors to tie the room all together.

A New Adventure

I have created this blog to highlight and to showcase ideas, projects and how the journey comes along. After researching bigger and well known names, I was motivated to take a stand and make a name for not only myself but for my work. As a viewer, it’s expected to find posts relating to what is happening, what I am working on and my climb in the design field.
